Common Questions
I forgot my password
2ATracker uses zero-knowledge encryption: your password is the key that decrypts your firearms data on your device, and we never see it. Because of this, a password reset cannot recover your existing encrypted data.
- If you generated a recovery key at signup, you can use it to regain access without losing data.
- If you did not save a recovery key, you can reset your password via Forgot Password, but any previously encrypted inventory will be unrecoverable and you will need to start a fresh inventory.
How do I export my data?
On the web go to Settings → Data Export to download your full inventory as CSV or JSON. The mobile app offers the same option under Settings → Export Data.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete Account on either the web or mobile app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your account, encrypted data, and uploaded documents are purged from our systems and cannot be restored.
How is my data encrypted?
Your sensitive inventory fields (serial numbers, makes, models, calibers, photos, and documents) are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your password via Argon2id before being sent to our servers. For full details see the Security page.

Does the mobile app work offline?
Yes. The Free tier is local-only — your encrypted data lives on your device and never requires a network connection. Standard and Pro tiers sync your encrypted data to the cloud when you're online, so your inventory stays in step across devices. Either way, the app remains usable offline.
